Cornea precut at the corneal stroma for replacement of the anterior part of the patient’s cornea.
The depth of the anterior lamella should be indicated by the surgeon in a range of 130 μm - 450 μm.
The lamella is obtained after cutting the cornea with a semiautomatic microkeratome and then placed in an artificial anterior chamber, measuring its thickness with an ultrasonic pachymeter. Depending on the value obtained, the most appropriate cutting head is chosen to obtain the corneal lamella of the required thickness.
Depending on the type of cornea of origin, the product is kept at 2-10 ºC or ambient temperature until used.
